After his individual exhibitions held at the Arthobler gallery in Lisbon and at Museu da Horta in Faial, ‘Europa’, the latest series of work by Carlos No will now be displayed at the Candyland gallery in Stockholm, together with some brand new creations.
With his unmistakeably interventionist approach, the plastic artist raises our awareness of the issue of immigrants who arrive in Europe in search of a better standard of living and who then come face to face with the xenophobic and segregational side of the old continent. Territory and frontier are the concepts explored through the ironic sculptures created from the appropriation of road signs.
